  Case Study - The Parcel Company
The business was my idea conceived due to my mad passion for Christmas.  The concept was simple offering an online service to parents where they could buy Christmas stockings and all the gifts.  Once an order was complete we would wrap, pack and deliver ready to go for Christmas morning.   The gifts were also bought as party bag fillers.
 

The project proved to be a fascinating insight about how the web has filtrated many aspects of our lives. Learning about search engine optimisation, adwords and meta tags has been invaluable in today’s marketing climate.


After our first year we diversified our product range.  We introduced personalised mementos for weddings, christenings and birthdays.  These we researched ourselves and proved very popular.  The business was created as a partnership which meant submersing ourselves into every aspect from accounts to purchasing and as webmaster on a daily if not hourly basis.  The greatest pleasure was seeing the sales come in, the reward for a massive amount of hard work.  It brought a whole new meaning to 'business marketing' when it's your own business!
